What are Rooms and Zones?

Rooms are how you divide up your home for control purposes — Living Room, Kitchen, Bedroom, and so on. Every accessory is assigned to a room, which is what lets you say "turn off the kitchen lights" rather than naming each light individually.

Zones group several rooms together (for example, "Upstairs" or "Outside") when you want to control or automate a whole area at once, rather than room by room.
