What do the battery colours and percentages mean?

Each accessory's battery icon and percentage are colour-coded so you can spot problems at a glance:

• Green — battery is above 50% (or the device is actively charging)

• Yellow — battery is between 21% and 50%

• Red — battery is 20% or below, or HomeKit has flagged it as low

• Grey — no battery level has been reported yet (usually just needs a refresh, or the device doesn't report a percentage)

Accessories showing red or with 20% or less charge are also grouped under "Needs Attention" at the top of the Status tab, so you don't have to scroll through the full list to find what needs a battery swap.
